It’s Been a Busy Spring!

We have had a busy 2019 Spring and we are not quite through yet. The week of 15 April we traveled to Chattanooga to conduct the brand new CLOSE TEAM SUPPORT COURSE for Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT. The course went well and we have others planned for the future. Thanks to Sr. Instructor Dave Schifo for his assistance with that course.

The week of 22 April it was off to Juneau, AK where I had the privilege of providing the Level II Advanced Sniper Course to Juneau PD SWAT Snipers. The course was extended to meet some of their training requests and needs and we had a great time working in the Last Frontier. And of course I got the opportunity to enjoy some of the beautiful Alaskan wilderness as well as see some of the sites. Many thanks to the JPD for their hospitality and hard work to make this course happen. A special thanks also to the members of the JPD and the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Juneau who assisted us with logistics and mission support.

The week of 6 May was the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) Annual Training Conference in West Palm Beach, FL. I had the opportunity to participate in training and was a presenter during the conference. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was a fantastic host agency and provided full access to their state of the art range facility. Our class, “Why Do They Shoot Like That? – Weapon Ergonomics & Human Biomechanics Effects on Accuracy” was well attended and received great reviews. Thanks to IALEFI for the opportunity.
